For his first album, I'm Going Home, Durham, NC-based  singer-songwriter Nick Hutson collects songs with hints of the old time, gospel, bluegrass, country, and folk music that he loves. His experiences being raised in Tennessee  heavily influence his work which focuses on traditional  southern themes of family, faith, history, and place.  Produced by Jon Shain and recorded by FJ Ventre at Good  Luck Studio in Chapel Hill, NC, the recording contains ten  original songs and a pair of covers of traditional songs. The collection benefits  from the contributions of several notable North Carolina  musicians and vocalists – including Joe Newberry, Julie Elkins, Joseph Decosimo, Isabel Valls, Allyn Love, Bill  Newton, Shana Tucker, Susan Johnson, Matt Velkey, and  Jim Suiter.
